Kenyan actress Catherine Kamau, also known as Kate Actress, has left fans wondering if there is trouble in paradise after removing photos of her husband Philip Karanja from her Instagram account.

Ankali Ray of Milele FM radio took the initiative to interview the couple separately, but it did not go well because they both decided to hang up after the presenter inquired about their relationship. When Ankali Ray inquired about Kate Actress’s relationship, she told him not to inquire about her family and hung up.

Philip Karanja had the same reaction when the radio host inquired about his marriage and how everything was going. When asked if everything was fine with his wife, he refused to speak about it. He cut the call short while Ankali was still asking him questions, saying that it would have to wait for another time.

On November 17, 2017, the couple married in an invite-only wedding ceremony attended by close friends and family. They have two kids. Phillip Karanja (alias Phil or Melvin) is a film director and former Tahidi High Actor.

Catherine Kamau Karanja (born 3 February 1987) is a Kenyan award-winning actress known as “Celina” (or “Selina”) and “Kate Actress”. She rose to prominence as Celina in the Citizen TV series Mother In-Law. She was born in Nyahururu, Kenya, in the Kenyan county of Laikipia. She is also a digital marketing influencer.

She has won several awards, including Best Supporting Actress at the Kalasha Awards. She has also received several nominations for awards, including the Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Award for Best Lead Actress in a TV Drama.

Catherine Kamau has acted in at least two Netflix projects. One of them is “Nafsi” which was released in 2021 and she stars as Shiko. The other one is “Disconnect” which was released in 2020 and part 2 which came out in January 2023.
