Sean Cardovillis is dead

Sean Cardovillis, a well-known sports commentator, has died.

Cardovillis’ body was discovered Saturday, September 9 morning outside his house along Rhapta Road, Westlands, where he resided alone, according to Nairobi Police.

According to police and witnesses, the body was discovered at his staircase by a janitor who had gone to clean the area leading to his house on the fourth level of an apartment.

It is unclear whether he was departing for work or died Friday night, according to authorities.

According to witnesses, the cleaner called an ambulance . Police were also called to the location.

At the site, medics confirmed him dead. They took his body to the mortuary.

The cause of his death, according to police, is unknown. As part of the investigation, the body will be autopsied to determine the cause of death.

Cardovillis was a sports fan who worked at Capital FM.

He was expected to be at work on Saturday afternoon, according to station personnel. He was scheduled to interview multiple world and Olympic champion and triple world record holder Faith Kipyegon.
